OVERLAND: ADAM KACHMAN GOES TRULY OFF-ROAD

Adam Kachman's had a busy couple of weeks - from enduring grueling gravel in Kansas' Unbound Gravel to the North American Enduro Cup.

The past two weeks have been a blur. Seven days ago I was at @unboundgravel lining up under the Kansas sun, doing my small part in building community and creating a positive space in cycling. This weekend I landed at the @northamericanendurocup in Idaho to take @eastoncycling Overland truly off road. The weekend was full of physically and technically challenging trails that pushed my skill level, and ignited a hunger for progression that I haven’t felt in quite some time.
But again, as with Unbound I went to this event not to focus on myself but to focus on how the community can begin to shift from within towards something more welcoming, equitable, and sustainable. As I finished my death-gripped runs I saw the burgeoning future of off road cycling in small groups all around me. Who holds the answer? Women.
I witnessed more support, encouragement and positivity from @juliebaird @kerstinholster @hannahbergemann @linnearooke than I did from any group of dudes. We all have a lot to learn about creating a positive environment that brings people in and opens up a seat at the table, and thankfully those seeds are being planted by people with infectious energy and a persistent nature.
Thanks for keeping me rolling through all of these states so I can meet people, share stories, and create change @eastoncycling @orbea (gotta get that new Rallon!) @schwalbetires @camelbak @guenergylabs @100percent_bike @girocycling @castellicycling @raceface @ridefoxbike
