Easton Cycling Lifetime Warranty
Easton Cycling believes that confidence in your equipment leads to confidence in yourself. Pushing limits means pushing the equipment, and knowing it will stand up to the task is a critical advantage. Tested and now backed by a Lifetime Warranty, Easton Cycling components are ready for any ride imaginable.
What’s covered under Lifetime Warranty?
Our Lifetime Warranty now covers the bulk of our hard goods including:
• Carbon Wheels
• Handlebars
• Stems
• Cranks
• Chainrings
• Static (non-actuated) seat posts
What’s covered under Limited Warranty?
The following products are NOT covered by the Lifetime Warranty and remain covered under our Limited Warranty:
• Dropper posts
• Apparel
• Bar tape
• Bottom brackets
This is because some products aren’t made to endure anyone’s lifetime (like apparel), or they require regular servicing to stay in good working order (like droppers). Of course, if customers have any issues with Limited Warranty products, they can get in touch, and we’ll do everything we can to get them rolling again. The Limited Warranty on dropper posts is one (1) year from the date of purchase in North America and two (2) years from the date of purchase in Europe. For all other products listed above, the Limited Warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials as the result of the product’s intended use for two (2) years from the date of purchase in all regions. The Limited Warranty does not cover defects caused by third-party modifications, repairs, or replacement parts, nor does it cover scratches, normal wear and tear, and the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use.
A note on regions outside of North America: In countries such as Germany that have laws restricting the usage of a Lifetime Warranty statement or require an explicit warranty term, the Easton Cycling Lifetime Warranty has a warranty term of 10 years. For products not covered by the Easton Cycling Lifetime Warranty, those products are covered by the Easton Cycling Limited warranty for a period of two (2) years (1 year for dropper posts) or the minimum requirement of the country where the product was purchased, whichever is longer.
How are customers going to start claims?
We’re doing our best to minimize red tape runarounds or long wait times for a decision on warranty claims. Customers can start their claim through the bike shop or online retailer that sold them the product, or go directly through Easton Cycling. We want customers to use the quickest and easiest method to get them back on their bike.
What about wear and tear on parts?
Our Lifetime Warranty does not apply to the slow wear and tear that mountain bike components are subject to. Some examples of this wear and tear are the bearings in hubs and bottom brackets, worn chainring teeth or visible dings/flat spots in aluminum rims. If parts are scratched up and still function as intended, the Lifetime Warranty is not applicable.
Is the Lifetime Warranty transferable?
At this point, we are not making the Lifetime Warranty transferable to subsequent owners of covered Easton Cycling products. The need to provide proof of purchase will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by Easton Cycling, its dealers and/or distributors. For more information on Lifetime Warranty, please contact your respective representative at Easton Cycling.
