Haley Hunter wins Crusher in the Tushar
As the third stop of the Lifetime Grand Prix rolled through Beaver, UT, Haley Hunter took the win at Crusher in the Tushar. The brutally challenging race featured loads of climbing and the finish line topped out at 10,000 feet of elevation, making this race such a tough one even if the course was shorter than the Unbound. Haley managed to finish a full six minutes ahead of second place.
While it was an emotional ride for Haley, she knew what she was capable of. Haley knew she was prepared for this race and her team was beyond excited for her win.
Her teammate Andrew L’Esperance (Lespy) also had a fantastic day riding with the lead men to eventually finish up in sixth place.
Both these Canadians are headed to Europe to take advantage of their altitude acclimation to race the UCI World Cup XC in Andorra. Haley and Lespy are set for a great finish in the overall series. Haley is currently in second place (by only two points) and Lespy is in fourth.
