The EC90 SL crank utilizes the Race Face CINCH technology which allows for direct mount 1x rings as well as direct mount 2x spiders, and industry leading versatility. Increasingly popular 1x setups have many advantages including weight and simplicity. Their major limitation is adaptability. A Cyclocross rider's ability to ride a course, then effortlessly change chainrings to their preferred setup is a major necessity that has, until now, been overlooked. Easton refines the design for larger ring applications with improved chain retention while reducing running noise and friction. Arms come assembled with spindle. Rings and BB sold separately.

Great System

I love the cranks and the way that they let me easily tailor my gearing to the terrain. I've had a set on my cross bike for years and now have another on my gravel bike. The cinch system can't be beat and the weight that these save over other cranks that don't have the same ability to change out rings easily is nuts. I'll be running these for a long time. Great cranks.

Broke them for the second time

Same problem here as the others, pedal thread cracked.

Light and versatile, but ultimately unreliable

Just broke my second set of these. Like so many others have reported, these cranks are prone to developing play between the carbon arm and the aluminum thread, causing them to fail eventually. After two instances, I don’t trust them anymore, and will switch to the EA90 alu version. Such a shame, cause the carbon ones are extraordinarily light, beautifully designed and the cinch system works very well and makes them very versatile. But none of that really matters if Easton can’t manage to make them reliable. And with so many people reporting this here, I can’t see why Easton hasn’t recalled this product or at least taken it off the market.

Poor Quality

Like others here, my right crank arm has some play in it. This is a warranty replacement for the same issue on the original crankset. Unfortunately, I'm just outside the 2-year warranty, so I'm on my own. I wish I knew why they refuse to address the issue. I ride thousands of miles a year, and this is the only crankset that has ever failed me. Twice.

Solid and reliable

I’ve been using these cranks for four years with no issues.
